What

Sita is an independent adaptation of the play Sita by the yesteryear Kannada actress Snehalatha. The play by Snehalatha written in the seventies had raised a storm as it depicted Sita as opting Ravana over Rama.

This version was further adapted such that Sita forgoes both the hero and his antagonist in the end identifying instead with Surpanaka, sister of Ravana.
